Fabulous Family Breakfast

Our final Fabulous Family Breakfast for the Fraternal Year is Father's Day, June 21st.  Come out, bring dad and support the council.

As the Breakfast Manager this past year I would like to thank all of those brothers who came out and helped make the breakfasts a huge success.  See you in September.

Letter from Bishop of Richmond

I want to thank you and your brothers in the Knights of Columbus for their outstanding support of our Vocations Ministry.

As Bishop, I am grateful to the Knights of Columbus in Virginia for their consistent and generous support of our seminarians over the years. The financial gifts to our vocation efforts; the continual prayers for our seminarians and priests; and the work with our Vocation Office to encourage young adults to serve the church as priests, deacons and religious enriches our Diocese. ... Virginia Knights Rank in Top 10 for Charitable Giving, Service

The Virginia jurisdiction played a key part in the Knights of Columbus' record setting charitable giving and volunteer service in 2007.

According to the results of the Knights of Columbus, Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity for the year ending December 31, 2007, Virginia ranked in the top ten for both volunteer hours worked for and dollars contributed to charitable causes.

The jurisdiction is first in the US and third overall for volunteer hours worked, and seventh in the US and ninth overall for dollars donated. In addition, Virginia is the only jurisdiction to place in the top 10 of both categories.

Supreme Knight Carl Anderson released the results of the survey on June 6 in a speech to state deputies and members of the board of directors in New Haven.
